A contemporary building in Lusail, faced in white Aleppo Syrian stone. Where our villa projects lean classical, this one is deliberately modern — clean running-bond coursing, deep cantilevered terraces and sharp geometric massing, sharpened with occasional dark stone accents. Auckland supplied the stone, cut every panel to size on our CNC line and dry-fixed the elevations, showing that Syrian stone works just as well on a bold modern building as on a traditional facade.
Syrian stone, modern language
The whole elevation is clad in white Aleppo Syrian stone laid in a clean, large-format running bond. Instead of arches and cornices, the design relies on proportion and shadow — projecting slabs, deep reveals and stacked terraces that catch the Gulf light. It's proof that Syrian stone, usually associated with classical villas, carries a confident contemporary building just as well.
Cut to size on our CNC line
A modern facade like this is unforgiving — the joints line up in long, continuous runs, so every panel has to be dimensioned precisely. We cut the stone to size in-house on our CNC line, which keeps the coursing consistent across the whole elevation and lets the crisp corners and deep reveals read as sharp as the design intends.
Dry-fixed for the Gulf
The stone is mechanically dry-fixed with stainless steel supports and a ventilated cavity behind the panels. In Lusail's coastal heat that matters twice over: each panel moves independently so thermal expansion is absorbed instead of cracking the elevation, and the cavity lets heat and moisture escape rather than getting trapped behind the stone. It's the fixing method built to keep a facade stable for decades.
